Jacopo Marcomeni

Jacopo joined hanover recently from his position at the Large-scale IT-systems and Biometrics Unit of the European Commission’s DG Home Affairs, where he closely followed, among others, the development of the second generation of the Schengen Information System (SIS II).

Previously, Jacopo served as Public Affairs Manager at AVG Technologies, dealing with EU legislation on data protection, biometrics and online security and was in charge of liaising with stakeholders, MEPs and the European Commission on several issues, mainly in the area of Justice & Home Affairs (JHA). His Brussels experience also includes a Fellowship at the JHA Section of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in 2010. At hanover Jacobo supports client programmes in the technology, energy, and sustainability sectors.

Jacopo holds a Graduate Degree in International Relations from the Roma Tre University and is a proficient English and French speaker, in addition to be a native Italian.
