On 21 June 2011, hanover Brussels and ACCA organised a roundtable debate which was chaired by Antonyia Parvanova, Member of the European Parliament, on the European Commissions’ second upcoming action plan on eHealth. Patient safety, efficiency and clinical governance were discussed, and specifically, how innovation can benefit healthcare systems.
The debate was initiated by a new study, produced by ACCA in collaboration with the European Commission and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, highlighted the role of Information and Communication Technologies in driving patient safety.
