policy focus- european vs. national models: how should the EU approach health technology assessments?

hanover Brussels invited a select audience to a breakfast debate on Health Technology Assessment in the EU. The panellists Antonyia Parvanova, Member of the European Parliament, and Nathalie Chaze, Head of Unit for Health Strategy and Health Systems at the European Commission, shared their views on HTA with an audience of more than 30 people.

Participants included representatives from the pharmaceutical and the medical technology sectors, healthcare practitioners, patients and representatives of public authorities. The event culminated in a lively debate and exchange of views on HTA and discussed how the EU’s HTA capability could be shaped in the future.
